Transportation

Eden Beach resort hotel is located in Anavyssos, on the 47km of Athens-Sounion coastal road, and it is:

• 20 km from the ancient Shrine of Poseidon
• 25 km from the Athens international airport (click here)
• 47 km from the centre of Athens (click here)
• 30 km from Lavrion Harbor
• 20 km away from the newly constructed Attica ring road (Attiki Odos)

• Invited speakers will be offered taxi service, pre-arranged privately
• Plenary speakers flying from Thessaloniki will be serviced by the conference organization committee
• Greek conference participants from outside of Athens/Attica can use public transportation or taxi:
• • from the airport to the centre of Athens, Syntagma Square, one can take the bus or use the metro underground and from Syntagma Square one can take the bus to the hotel in Anavyssos (but stop to be announced)
  • taxi service is at a cost of 35€ - 40€, depending on the time of travel, from the airport straight to Anavyssos. If taken after 12.00 o’ clock at night there is a surcharge of approximately 10€
• Conference participants from within the area of Attica can travel to Anavyssos using:
• • the conference shuttle intended to pick up those who have indicated (in their Registration Form) that they want to use this service (see schedule and departure point below)
  • private transportation to Anavyssos
  • public transportation from Syntagma Square to Anavyssos

Note: The conference shuttle service is courtesy of the organisers and no fee is charged to those who will use it. The shuttle bus will be leaving daily from Syntagma Square outside the Central Post Office (for the exact point of departure please click here) and will be bringing people back to the centre of Athens at the end of each conference day.
