Joe is in his secret tree
house in the woods. He’s reading a book.
It’s “Peter Pan and Wendy”. He soon
falls asleep and has a dream.
Peter Pan:
Hello, I’m Peter Pan. What’s your name?
Joe:
(surprised)
…. Oh, hello … I’m Joe.
Peter Pan:
Come to dinner at my house, Joe.
Joe:
Thank you, Peter Pan, but…
Peter Pan:
We eat dinner in the bathroom.
Joe:
(surprised)
IN THE BATHROOM?
Peter Pan:
Yes.
Joe:
Why do you do that? We eat dinner in the
dining room.
Peter Pan:
(laughing)
We sleep in the dining room.
Joe:
(surprised)
YOU SLEEP IN THE DINING ROOM? Why do you
do that? We sleep in the bedroom.
Peter Pan:
(laughing)
We cook in the bedroom.
Joe:
(surprised)
YOU COOK IN THE BEDROOM? Why do you do
that? We cook in the kitchen.
Peter Pan:
(laughing)
We play in the kitchen.
Joe:
(surprised)
YOU PLAY IN THE KITCHEN? Why do you do
that? We play in the garden.
Peter Pan:
(laughing)
We have a bath in the garden.
Joe:
(surprised)
YOU HAVE A BATH IN THE GARDEN? Why do
you do that? We have a bath in the
bathroom.
Peter Pan
(one arm over Joe’s shoulder):
I like you, Joe. You’re so different.
Let’s go!
Joe:
(waking up, speaking to himself)
Oops! It’s time for dinner!
Joe’s dad:
Come quickly, Joe. Dinner is ready!
Joe:
(relieved that everything seems to be
back to normal)
I’m coming, Dad! I’m
so hungry! |
