MORE

The Platform aims to continue being and to develop into an even stronger voice of Europe's civil society to promote language policies for multilingualism in all aspects of social life.
The Commission's multilingualism policy focuses on people. That is, their ability to:

  • use several languages
  • access culture
  • to participate as active citizens
  • benefit from better communication, wider employment and business opportunities

Committed to multilingualism, the CSP aspires to help raise further awareness about the EU’s linguistic wealth being an asset rather than a barrier, and that intercultural dialogue presupposes the use of languages in addition to one’s own. It also aspires to assemble in an organized fashion research findings, recommendations, publications and many other products developed since 2002 and to make it accessible to all interested parties.
