The University of Akron offers an opening for an Assistant Professor in the English Department. Qualifications are a Ph.D. in Linguistics, TESOL, or a related discipline, as well as evidence of research in Linguistics and TESOL, college-level teaching experience, and the ability to teach the history of English required. Preferred: demonstrated interest in teaching Creole Linguistics or Literary Linguistics.
